                                         Welcome to Top Gun Kennels

         My name is Justin Hadley and I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho with my beautiful wife Kristin. My love for Labs began when I was thirteen years old. My neighbor  Tom made me an offer to go duck hunting with him which I happily accepted. He had a Black Lab named Doc which was a field trial dog. The first time I fired the shotgun on this duck hunt I dropped a hen mallard, Tom stood up and with a firm commanding voice said "Doc" without hesitation Doc speedily made the retrieve out of the icy river and delivered the bird to his hand. I was hooked, within a matter of months I brought home my own lab puppy, a black male which I named Duke. I got my hands on every book and video I could find on training retrievers, and spent many hours training and running drills until I had a retriever to be proud of. With pride I spent the next nine years in the duck blind with my faithful companion until 2006 when he passed on. After I got married I decided that I would like to get another hunting dog, a short time later we brought home another black male and we named him Gunnar. It did not take me long to remember how much I enjoyed training dogs. Soon thoughts started rolling through my head about getting another dog, and so we did, and then another, and then another. We are now the owners of 4 beautiful Labrador Retrievers. I have spent hundreds of hours and too much money training these dogs and running them in hunt tests, but I truly enjoy it and hope to continue to do it for years to come.
